Delete your account

Delete from the app

Open Movie Buddy, go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account and confirm. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.

Request deletion by email

If you can no longer sign in, email support@moviebuddy.io from the address registered to your account with the subject “Delete my Movie Buddy account”. We complete the request within 30 days.

What is deleted

Your profile, name, email, date of birth, photos, verification images, location, genre preferences, matches, invitations, chat messages and push notification tokens.

What may be kept

Reports you filed or that were filed about you may be retained for up to 90 days for safety review. Aggregated analytics that cannot identify you are retained.
